How do I register for a class?
It’s very simple! Download the StudioBookings app or head over to the StudioBookings website and search for Freedom Studios. Enter your details to create a free account with us and search for the class that you want to try. You’ll then need to purchase a class credit with an online payment so your account has credit, then choose a class to spend the credit.
If you have any issues setting this up, please don’t hesitate to call us or come in and speak to us at the reception desk to get yourself signed up.
What age can my child start?
Our Mini’s classes are perfect for young dancers wanting to start from age 3 and up. Tuesday at 4.30pm is our Mini Street class, Wednesday at 4.30pm is our Mini Ballet class, and Saturday at 9am is our Mini Dance class.
How much does it cost?
Mini classes are just £4, all other classes are £8, team training is £12. Our best value offer however, is our unlimited monthly membership subscription for just £120. However you can simply just pay-as-you-go, with no joining fees, no contracts, no upfront term fees, no hidden costs!
I’m completely new to dance, can I still join?
Absolutely! Don’t be discouraged by our impressive class videos on social media. Most of our dancers started off as completely new beginners and have become extremely talented dancers through regular training with us. We have beginner classes on our timetable for a reason, everybody has to start somewhere.
How do I join a team?
We are always on the lookout for new talent to join our teams – we scout team dancers through classes in our regular timetable. Speak to us if you’re interested in joining a team. Making your interest known to us is a first step!
What do I wear to classes?
The simple answer is… anything you like! We don’t force you to buy uniforms before you’ve even stepped on the studio floor. You can wear anything that makes you feel comfortable to dance in to get you started. If you’re doing a ballet or tap class, we’d recommend a leotard with tights and soft ballet shoes/tap shoes.
How do I get uniforms?
We have teamed up with Velocity Pro Sports as our official uniform supplier. Freedom Dance Studios branded clothing can be purchased directly from their website. We also sell t-shirts directly ourselves, just speak to our reception team. If you need any guidance on ordering or sizes, don’t hesitate to ask us!
Can parents watch?
To minimise distractions, we ask parents to wait in the waiting room. However, we have privacy glass installed in our cloakroom looking onto the main studio space where parents may briefly watch to see how their dancer is getting on before taking a seat back in the waiting room. But don’t worry, you aren’t missing out – we add our class videos to our Band App! Speak to a member of staff about how to access Band.
What are your safety measures?
At Freedom, your safety and security are our top priorities. From the moment you step through our doors, you can feel at ease knowing we’ve taken every measure to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Our studio is equipped with a 16-camera, 24-hour CCTV system and secure magnetic lock door system, providing constant monitoring and controlled entry. We also have all relevant insurances and alarmed safety procedures needed to operate safely.
All of our teachers and staff are fully qualified, DBS checked and have undergone safeguarding training. Plus there is always a trained first aider and first aid equipment on-site. We’ve also gone the extra mile with active shooter training and putting lockdown procedures in place to protect our dance family.
