Kirsty Murphy
Owner / Director & Head Teacher
a.k.a “Freedom Mama”
Kirsty is the founder and heart of Freedom Dance Studios. She manages all the competitive teams and choreographs for House of Freedom Seniors. The classes she currently teaches are: Technique, Lyrical / Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Commercial, Street & Dance Leadership courses.
Mike Yates
Digital & General Manager
a.k.a “Freedom Dad”
Mike works behind the scenes at Freedom and can also be found manning the reception desk most evenings. He looks after the maintenance of the studio building, our website, and marketing. He’s also our in-house photographer and videographer for our showcases and events.
Mel Wharton
Teacher & Choreographer
Mel is head of our mini under 8’s classes and choreographer of both our mini teams: House of Freedom Minis & Freedom Collective Minis. The classes that Mel currently teaches are: Street, Choreography, Tap, Ballet & Jazz.
Rachel Hancock
Teacher & Choreographer
Rachel is choreographer for Freedom Collective Seniors. The classes that Rachel currently teaches are: Technique and Lyrical / Contemporary
Sydney Martingell
Teacher & Choreographer
Sydney is an alumna choreographer for our Acro Team: Freedom Acrobats. The class that Sydney currently teaches is Acro & Tricks.
Chloe Cooper
Teacher & Choreographer
Chloe is a student choreographer for our Junior Lyrical Team: Freedom Collective Juniors.
Ellie Nicholson

Ellie is a student choreographer for our Junior Street Team: House of Freedom Juniors.
