How do I register for a class?
It’s very simple! Download the StudioBookings app or head over to the StudioBookings website and search for Freedom Studios. Enter your details to create a free account with us and search for the class that you want to try. You’ll then need to purchase a class credit with an online payment so your account has credit, then choose a class to spend the credit.
If you have any issues setting this up, please don’t hesitate to call us or come in and speak to us at the reception desk to get yourself signed up.
What age can my child start?
Our Mini’s classes are perfect for young dancers wanting to start from age 2.5 and up. Tuesday at 4.30pm is our Mini Street class and Wednesday at 4.30pm is our Mini Ballet class.
How much does it cost?
Mini classes are just £3.50, and all other classes are £7. Our best value offer however, is our unlimited monthly membership subscription for just £120. With this you can take advantage of all our classes every week, making them just £3 each! It also includes team training too which means you’d be paying £2.60 per class if you are in one team, £2.30 if you are in two of our teams and just £2.06 if you are in three teams. The best value for money dance classes around!
Monthly membership also includes half-term workshops, summer school and extra rehearsals, saving you even more! There’s no joining fees, no silly contracts, no upfront term fees, no hidden costs!
I’m completely new to dance, can I still join?
Absolutely! Don’t be discouraged by our impressive class videos on social media. Most of our dancers started off as completely new beginners and have become extremely talented dancers through regular training with us. We have beginner classes on our timetable for a reason, everybody has to start somewhere.
How do I join a team?
Our auditions for teams are held every October, but we are always on the lookout for new talent to join our teams. We also scout team dancers through classes in our regular timetable. Speak to us if you’re interested in joining a team – making your interest known to us is a first step!
What do I wear to classes?
The simple answer is – anything you like! We aren’t strict like other schools who force you to buy uniforms just to dance in the building. You can wear anything that makes you feel comfortable to dance in to get you started. If you’re doing Ballet or Tap, we’d recommend a leotard with tights and soft ballet shoes/tap shoes, but this is not compulsory at all.
How do I get uniforms?
Place your order at the reception desk or contact us directly with what you’d like to order. Once you’ve paid for your item(s), your clothing will arrive typically in 2-4 weeks. As mentioned in the previous FAQ, uniform is not a mandatory requirement.
Can parents watch?
To minimise distractions, we don’t suggest that parents watch classes. However, we have privacy glass installed in our cloakroom looking on to the main studio space where parents may briefly watch to see how their dancer is getting on before taking a seat in the waiting room.
What are your safety measures?
At Freedom, your safety and security are our top priorities. From the moment you step through our doors, you can feel at ease knowing we’ve taken every measure to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Our studio is equipped with a 16-camera CCTV system and secure magnetic lock door system, providing constant monitoring and controlled entry. We also have all relevant insurances and safety procedures needed to operate safely.
All of our teachers and staff are fully qualified, DBS checked and have undergone safeguarding training. Plus there is always a trained first aider on-site. We’ve also gone the extra mile recently with active shooter training and putting lockdown procedures in place to protect our dance family.
